South Australia is opening up 24 additional occupations to the applicants currently residing offshore.
South Australia is inviting offshore applicants to apply for state nominations in additional 24 Engineering occupations.
“To manage South Australia’s COVID recovery response, an additional 24 Engineering occupations will be open to applicants currently residing offshore from Tuesday 2 November 2021,” Migration SA has announced.

According to Migration SA, the minimum requirements for state nomination for these occupations include:
- You must have at least eight years of work experience in the nominated or closely related occupation
- You must demonstrate a Superior English level unless you hold an eligible passport from a country where the primary language is English (the United Kingdom, the United States of America, New Zealand, Ireland and Canada)
- You must score at least 85 points for the Skilled Work Regional visa (subclass 491) in the Department of Home Affairs’ points test.
Requirements for all occupations will be published on South Australia’s Skilled Occupation List on 2 November 2021.
Migration SA says offshore applicants meeting the minimum published requirements can lodge a Registration of Interest (RoI) from 10 am, ACST, Tuesday 2 November 2021.
