MELBOURNE, Nov 6—The logo of the International Melbourne Hockey Cup, to be held in Melbourne in 2023, has been released. Giving information in this regard, Manpreet Singh, a member of the tournament management committee of the International Melbourne Hockey Cup 2023, said that along with Australia, famous teams from Canada, America, New Zealand, Germany and India will participate in this tournament.
He said that talks are also being going on with hockey federations of different countries in this regard. He further said that the structure of this tournament will be unique and maximum number of teams will get a chance to play in this tournament. He further said that the main purpose of this tournament is to inspire the Punjabi community living in Australia to join the game of hockey, so continuous efforts will be made.
In this tournament, where teams of senior players will participate, along with this, competitions will be held for small children and especially girls’ teams. Entry into the tournament will be done according to the grading of the teams. In this regard, a technical committee is also being formed, under whose supervision this tournament will be held.
