Childhood friend Jippy Singh said Tajinder Singh had not seen his family since he arrived in New Zealand seven years ago.
“He was planning to go home after he got New Zealand residency, which was expected in May. Now his body would be returned to Kalra village, near Adampur in the Punjab region of India, after a service in Auckland, where he lived before moving to Queenstown two years ago. I can’t imagine how hard it is for the parents,” Otago Daily Times quoted Jippy Singh as saying.
