NSW Police is searching for the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit and run accident at Harris Park on Sunday.
Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle involved in a fail to stop crash that left a man with serious leg injuries at Harris Park.
“About 9.20 pm (Sunday 23 May 2021), a 39-year-old man had parked his car near the intersection of Marion Street and Wigram Street when he was hit by a vehicle that did not stop. The man fell to the ground with severe injuries to his legs,” said the Police in a statement.
“Police are searching for the driver of the vehicle, described as a red Mazda 3. The car would have damage to the front bumper bar and the near side mirror,” it said.
Emergency services were called, and the man was treated before being taken to Westmead Hospital to treat severe leg fractures.
Specialist officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit have commenced an investigation.
Marion Street in Harris Park was closed to traffic for several hours on Sunday night while Police examined the crime scene.
“Anyone who might have been in the vicinity of Marion Street, Harris Park around 9.20 pm last night and has dashcam footage is urged to come forward,” Police has appealed.
