After Delhi-Sydney, Air India has also announced the resumption of Delhi-Melbourne flights.
Air India will resume flights on Delhi- Melbourne -Delhi route from 15 December.
The Airlines announced on Twitter bookings have already started.
“Air India announces flights on Delhi- Melbourne -Delhi sector effective 15 December 2021 every Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Bookings open today at 1230 IST on 26 November 2021 through Air India website, Booking Offices, Call Centre & through Authorised Travel Agents,” it said on Twitter.
The Indian airline resumed the Delhi-Sydney route earlier this month.
Australian airline Qantas is also launching direct flights between Melbourne and New Delhi from next month.
The presence of a large Indian community in Melbourne and heavy demand for tickets in the Sydney-New Delhi sector was the main impetus. As a result, for the first time in its history, Qantas will launch direct flights between Melbourne and New Delhi from next month. This comes with the already announced direct flights between Sydney and New Delhi that is also slated to begin next month.
