“It is with the heaviest heart that we ask for the community’s help. Our dearest friend Reema Monga’s sudden death has left us shattered and without any closure. Reema was the kind of person that would always put others’ needs before her own. Her kind and selfless nature was endless to her family, friends, and even strangers through her regular charity work,” reads the appeal posted on GoFundMe.
Reema Monga, popularly known as Reema Fatale, was conveyed by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment but died from injuries she sustained after her car was hit by a train in Queens Park in Perth’s east.
Police say the car was on the railway crossing at about 11.30 pm on Sunday when the crash occurred.
“About 11.30 pm, a white Nissan 370Z travelling west along Hamilton Street collided with a Transperth train travelling north on the Armadale train line. The Nissan was stationary on the tracks, and the train was unable to stop in time and struck the vehicle,” Perth police said in a statement.
“In the midst of the shock and grief of losing our close friend at such a young age, our top priority is now to raise funds so that her body can be sent home to receive a traditional memorial and lay her beautiful spirit to rest. Despite raising funds from our close group of friends, the expenses require additional support, particularly during these times when flight expenses are so high,” writes Myra Esmaili, organiser of the fundraiser.

“As a close friend of Reema, I can say that she truly was a benevolent angel, and if she was here today, I know she would do the same for others. I guess even Angels need help. I only wish things could have been different, but these are things we cannot control, yet we can still make a difference,” said Ms Esmaili.
Reema Monga, also known as Reema Fatale, was a model and fashion influencer. She also took part in the Australia Galaxy Peagents of 2020 and won Miss Charity Australia in 2020. Reema is survived only by her parents in India.
“Reema was my wife’s closest friend and was often at our place. Behind her well know social media profile was one of the kindest, most selfless woman I had ever met. She was soft spoken, very sweet and humble and put other’s needs before her own. She was deeply involved with various charity organizations here in Australia and spent a significant amount of her time attending charity events to. On her birthday just a few months ago, she decided not to have a celebration and preferred to go to a home shelter to feed the homeless ! She did this every year on her birthday. Although she was my wife’s close friend she left a genuine impression on me as someone with a heart of gold,” Andrew Arash Esmaili told NRI Affairs.
